Portraying Miranda...
...this way is pretty inappropriate. In the 1975 movie we are worried because an innocent angel is missing. In the remake just an unappealing recalcitrant brat gets lost. Who cares?
shareThis version was more about Appleyard then Miranda. I think they were attempting to get more sympathy for Appleyard. But since Miranda is the reason why everyone does what they do in the story...changing her character really hurt the story.
