Most these lifetime movies , the villain gets away with his/her evil doing because most of of the characters are idiots like the original, "Mom, Can I Sleep with Danger" where the girl is a total moron who gets involved with a guy who is mentally unbalanced and she ignored warning signs that he is unbalanced and ignored warnings from family and friends to stay away from him and its not until he goes total psycho that she realizes he is dangerous so this movie is pretty much the same stuff with the mother ignoring her own daughter for this total stranger.
