Talk about hitting rock bottom.

If Chase wasn't such an asshat I would feel sorry for him.

Yeah, and they even changed the title of the film to capitalize on his past of being in Christmas Vacation. I would feel sorry for him as well if he wasn't such a jerk, but he did it to himself. He made his bed and now he will have to lie in it. I remember one time I was at the Chevy Chase IMDb message board and, of course, there is a thread talking about how much of a d*ck he is. I brought up stuff that was well documented and naturally, there is always one fan to defend him. The type who thinks that Chevy has one more box office moneymaker left in him (Even Chevy knows those days are gone). It is really too bad Chevy self-destructed his career, but he never was able to get out of "a-hole mode"

I had never paid attention to stories about Chase until my best friend's husband told a story about when he and a friend from work had been sent to the SNL set to get some equipment. This was back when SNL was in it's infancy, so you'd think the cast would still be really happy about their newfound fame.

Apparently, everyone the guys met that day were delightful, except for Chevy Chase, who acted like a complete schmuck the entire time they were there, cursing for no reason and getting in their way. Not surprisingly (to me), Gilda Radner was a real sweetheart to them.

I don't know why it baffles me when I find out some actors are nasty douches. Guess I think that with all the money they make, perhaps they would be grateful and this would carry through to being a nice person. Not that, in the grand scheme of things, it truly matters to me how they are in their personal lives. It just might be nice though!

Did you think he filmed all his stuff in a couple of days? He never interacted with anyone but the office people and then he seemed to have no connection to the party. I bet there was a different actor in the part and then they got him....

That could be a possibility. A big name star in a B-movie with very little screen time and very little interaction with the cast usually means that actor was only on set for a day or so. And getting a different actor to replace the one who has already shot scenes for the film is not unusual. Jill Schoelen was brought in to replace a Amy O' Neill in the horror film, Popcorn. She said she didn't have much interaction with the cast since most of the scenes just needed quick re-shoots. This is obvious when there are just single shots of her.

Fans of Blue Bloods recognize her as the beautiful and sadly underused Detective Baker, administrative assistant to Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), and will probably watch for that reason. I am planning to.
