The Little Mermaid vs. The Flash vs. Dial of Destiny -- Battle of the Flops!

Well, DC movie adaptations have sucked for a decade now, but The Flash is particularly vile given that Hollywood tried to sweep Ezra Miller's scandals under the rug to salvage his "starring" role in this movie, and that they shamelessly drag Michael Keaton into this mess and hope his name will bring butts into the theaters, after they did nothing but trash how "dated and cheesy" his Batman movies were during the "realistic Batman" Nolan era.

YES IT DID!

The Little Mermaid, initially expected to make $800m-$1B, then downgraded to make between $600m-$750m after it's first showings, and eventually BARELY grossed over $500 million. In fact, it took five weeks just to reach that $500 million threshold and basically break even after you factor in all the marketing costs. By comparison, The Lion King remake grossed over $1.6 BILLION dollars:
