I've heard the expression "war on Christmas" and would like to know its origin and meaning. The only "war" I've ever seen involves holidays in general, not just Christmas. The big retailers have turned these special celebrations into ordinary weekdays with business as usual. I can remember New Years Day and July 4th being actual holidays at one time. Now everything is about money.
