An Ohio business journal confirmed a budget of $363 million which is roughly the same as Avengers Endgame, which had a massive cast of A listers with big payouts and lavish visuals. Superman has a no marquee names and the costumes are being criticized for looking cheap.share
For comparison, Dune 2 also had a massive cast of A listers, lavish visual effects and location shooting in Jordan, and the budget was $190 million.
By stating a budget of $363 million, the production receives a 10% rebate from Ohio taxpayers. The film is only using Ohio for location shoots, with the majority of the production shot in Georgia soundstages.
