"I've really enjoyed the collaboration with James Gunn so far. Every single person involved with this production is such a perfect nerd for Superman. We all grew up watching the movies and some of us grew up reading the comics," the actress said. "I feel like it's being made with so much love. This Superman will have a sense of humour...we're excited to both put our own spin on things but also honour the material we love so much."

Sounds like the Chris Reeves Superman movies. Maybe Gunn understands the Superman mythos.

Say what you want about Gunn but the SOB knows character development.

Certainly where never carrying on from a version that was incredible divisive and was a brooding Homelander the entire time.

MCU Captain America eclipsed Superman in popularity during Evans tenure I agree with pundits Captain America was more Superman than Superman yes Captain Rogers also had a sense of humor.

Hadn't had it in movies since Christopher Reeve.

May not go the Superman 3 route, 90s Lois & Clark was light hearted, there was some humour in TAS and Smallville.

you seriously think were gonna get a Grimdark Superman after DCEU ended last year guess you never seen a James Gunn Film besides hes drawing from Superman For All Seasons, All-Star Superman as well the 1978 Film if you have social media follow James Gunn , Rachel Bronshan is confirming the optimistic tone.

The most Superman we got in movies in the last ten years was Captain America in the MCU.
