Better than i thought it would be
Not sure if i'll stick with it but at the moment i'm intrigued enough to want to see what happens next.

shareme Too I don't get the whole 'it's to confusing and a mess'
It's another Alan Ball thing, I felt the same way with Six Feet Under at first I thought how can I like these character? their all got issues and not likable. then a few episodes in you grow to love them all as a family doesn't look close at first but shows how they get closer.
Alan Ball knows how to Build that up. I don't care what the Critics are saying, they can stick to their episodic NCIS with the same case every episode
I will stick with it, but it seems that they are trying to jam an awful lot into a single show. I don't find it confusing at all.
I think the locations are just beautiful. The scene with the waterfall made me want to run off to Oregon and go hiking.
But I find Holly Hunter's voice to be INCREDIBLY annoying. I am not surprised she won her Oscar for a performance that didn't require her to speak at all.
Just watched the first episode. Intrigued by the end but I wonder if these people get any more likeable at all? They just seemed so horrible that I wasn't even sure I could make it through the episode....
shareI think I am on episode 4. It seems Alan Ball is throwing in everything but the kitchen sink here: Every racial group; sexual orientation; gender orientation; political orientation; religious orientation. Really, it is exhausting. I liked SFU, so I will stick with it, but I am not really enjoying the characters at all.
shareActually go back to six feet under. The charters at first were not likeable at all
Ruth was a control freak mother having an affair
Claire was a junkie
David was a asshole to his brother at first
Brenda wasnt likeable the entire time.
It wasn’t till Nate gets that condition that makes the family get stronger together, this is very similar.
In fact most of Alan ball stuff characters are unlikable
