Not very good, but... those who liked infamous Babadook, will like this one too
I wasn't too keen on watching this movie, but it was good enough to pass as psychological thriller. Not exactly horror, but it has a few creepy things.

shareI thought it was very good and yes, I liked Babadook too, but this was a little better I think. It's definitely more of a psychological thriller than a straight up horror movie. I only watched this because my sister wanted to see it and I was expecting another haunted house film so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a little more than just that. I'd give it a 7,5/10
shareI understand your frustration. I felt the same way. I didn't like the twist because before it there were no clues that his siblings were murdered and he was imagining them. It's one thing to imagine and another to show in the movie that they are real. That put me off a little bit.
shareI disliked the Babadook but mainly due to the screaming kid. So I guess I will give it a chance.
shareHow is this not good?
shareBabadook is a far superior movie, but I think this film was still solid. 6/7 out of 10 for me. It was engaging for sure even if other films have done it better.
shareI didn't love Babadook, but it was better than this. This was good for the first half, but really dragged for the second half when it should have been picking up the pace. Very nice setting, production design and scenery early on. that's the best I can say about this. I gave this a 5/10.
