why is the movie called Brad's Status?

Saw the film yesterday, that seems like a rather ungainly, and not terribly meaningful, title.

The whole movie is his feelings on things and usually Facebook posts are nothing but people's feelings on things so I thought the title works pretty well.

Additionally, Brad is preoccupied with his lack of social status. So, I took it as having a double meaning.

It's a threefer:

1) Social status (financial, fame)
2) facebook/twitter sense ("check-in")
3) General: How is Brad doing?

That said, it *is* an ungainly title that probably worked much better in a producer's head. Can't see any VOD browsers stopping dead at that title.

Yeah, it was trying to be hip in relating to social media. It's explained in the first scenes and relates to that critical thing where he is believing other people's press or stories he heard about other people on their social or larger media reports. But, yeah, it kinda falls flat.
