CBS crime drama The Good Fight tweeted an image on Friday from a recent episode, entitled, “The One Where Diane Joins the Resistance.” The image showed a character pointing to a list of “target words” that included the phrases “Assassinate President Trump” and “Eliminate Mar-a-Lago.” The tweet, which has since been deleted, sparked backlash among Twitter users, many of whom reported CBS to the Secret Service.
Following a tweet that showed an image from “The Good Fight” episode “The One Where Diane Joins the Resistance,” CBS All Access has clarified the contents of said screenshot — namely, a list of “target words” topped by “assassinate,” “president,” and “Trump” (see below). Sans context, anyone looking would have no way of knowing that they were seeing an Nsa analyst’s finger scrolling through the list, the shot lasts only a moment, and the words that analyst hears don’t actually refer to assassination.
“A social media post for “The Good Fight” displayed show content that, when presented in isolation, outside of the context of the show, created an impression and provoked a reaction that was not intended,” CBS said in its statement.

Even if it was the case that it was the three most popular words on the NSA's data (and that is something that's possible) presenting it as that did was downright stupid and done to draw headlines and agitate.
I'm really struggling to bother with the show any more. As a Brit, I'm removed from this to a certain extent in terms of how much it directly affects me but the millitant way the writers are using their show to further their agenda is detracting from what can be a good court room drama.
