The real reason...

Does it seem to anyone that the real reason for this new series was just to ditch J.M.? Most of the TGW cast has joined on, the Kings are also involved. We all know that there was drama on set with JM and AP. Plus, I read that JM was willing to sign on for another season of TGW (though she wanted to ditch CBS broadcast network - which ultimately happened). Furthermore they wrote her character off the air --not as our hero-- but as a raging bitch who screwed everyone over. The ending was literally a slap on the face to the star! If CBS, the producers, and the star were all willing to continue, why was it cancelled... just to start anew as a facsimile, minus one key element?

I think there's so much more to the story.

Not all of them joined it seems at least, as far as I know. Also I must say I never watched because of J.M. at first i didnt dislike her but after the Will Romance was done, I feel she was done too mostly. If she had died instead of Will the show could have carried on just the same maybe even better.

Never felt she was a particularly great actress either. But I haven't seen her in anything But TGW. My Point is, she might have been lead but she didnt carry the show her supporting Cast overshadowed her big time.

No. Not everyone has joined. Alan Cumming and Matt Czurchy, most notably. But much of the supporting cast has, and I believe I read that Mr Big has even expressed interest. But it's still interesting that so many elements of the show, even the name (for the most part), are being continued... just no JM

Pardon my ignorance, but who is AP...? I often get confused when people on these boards use acronyms for everything :P
