Is it possible to make a film lacking both: Style and Substance?

Just finished watching it and this film did exactly that.

CONS:
• Suffered from cliché and lazy writing.
• BORING. It lags for most of its runtime.
• The lighting and camera work was flat, and the directing was rote and uninspired. The nighttime scenes, in particular, were underlit and amateurish, making it hard to see what was going on.

PROS:
• The fight scenes were cool and well done; I wish there were even more. Jessica and her stunt double did a really good job with them.
• Importantly: Jessica still looks absolutely delicious, and it’s worth watching just to look at her.

Conclusion:
In my view, a film like this needs a director with a stylistic flair and a strong sense of pacing -- think Tony Scott or John Woo -– to elevate the writing into a visual spectacle. Jessica Alba is the best thing about it; she does the best with what she has. Despite her commendable efforts, the overall experience lacks the visual and narrative depth necessary to make it memorable.
5/10

Based Jessica Alba appreciator.

A 5/10 is a fair rating. I decided to rate it a 6/10 though I too was close to rating it a 5. Not a great movie, just okay to pass some time.
