Too long and too mōngôloid for current audiences ….
This movie could have lost the whole son subplot, that would have removed about half an hour or more… and everything in this has been done before from Stargate, Mission to Mars, ID4, 2012, ID4R and more as others have stated.
This flick might have been more successful prior to 2013-15
the problem is most won’t sit for 150 minutes in a theater for a movie like this anymore when they can see it from the comfort of home via streaming for is basically an The Asylum film because this ain’t a Marvel Endgame type movie
