Why would the Moon need power to stay in orbit?
The nanobots smothering the sun in the middle of the moon (yep, it's just that silly) apparently deplete the moon's 'power' and cause it to fall out of orbit. How does that work?

shareHow the hell does any of it work? At the centre of the moon is a white dwarf. Literally a collapsed star, yet it hasn’t pulled the Earth apart on the first day it flew into our orbit.
An object the mass of our own Sun, but small enough to be inside the moon would alter our entire solar system, not just lift a f*****g tree without lifting the people next to it.
Wait wait wait wait wait there just one gawd darn minute.
Are you suggesting that the physics in this movie are not as accurate as they should be????
We're out of the realm of known physics here people, they said so in the film.
