Knowing that Vandenberg Space Force Base doesn't look like that, that humvees don't drive that fast, and a million other things wrong in the first half of the movie was making my brain go from entertained to annoyed. Only until they entered the moon did I escape into the "what if" possiblities of a bigger picture than what I already know.

Your review is 100% accurate. I think my IQ lowered after watching it which is worrying because I've already watched Independence Day Resurgence (same director *cough*). Entertaining rubbish and could have been a good film if handled better.

i was ok with the first half , and all its wild innacuracies ...
..just about until the moon started banging into the earth and sucking stuff up with its gravity.
