Black female scientist trope
A new (woke) trend in Hollywood. Meanwhile the reality is exactly the opposite.
shareA new (woke) trend in Hollywood. Meanwhile the reality is exactly the opposite.
shareWhite women in space:
First off planet crime.
Sabotage ISS to go home early.
So you're saying we shouldn't send women in space?
shareNo. We should only send them to kitchens. Why? To make sandwiches, of course.
shareWhy are you sexist???
We need sandwiches in space as well!!!!!
Why the fuck would you send a woman to make a sandwich?
Do you know who makes the greatest sandwiches on earth?
Me.
Do you know who doesn't?
Any woman I have ever met.
Confused anti-people-who-don't-look-like-me neckbeard trope: "Because this one facet of the movie doesn't fit my limited conception of the world, I'm gonna rail against it!"
You're too limited to understand how limited you are. You can go.
If you really think it's a "limited conception of the world" they it's YOU who has a limited conception of the world. I'm just being realistic, the trope I was railing against isn't.
shareLOL. . .Ok, let's review the bidding.
1) The moon is knocked out of orbit by some "unknown force" : Check!
2) The moon is *hollow*!!! : Check!
3) The moon somehow is sent Directly Towards The Earth, instead of in Any Other Direction: Check!
4) There are no other planetary/systemic effects, given the unimaginable forces that would be required to make any of this happen, till the moon gets closer to the earth: Check!!!
5) There's a black female scientist: Oh, HELLLL No! NOT REALISTIC!!! *That* couldn't happen!
Like I said. . .you're too stupid to know how stupid you are. Go sit down somewhere.
I don't know if those things are really true because I've not seen the movie yet, but if they are there is a good reason for it in order to make the plot work. Having a Black female scientist on the other hand isn't and is there only to push an ideological agenda.
shareUh huh.
I realize this is beyond you, so get someone you trust to try to explain it in simple terms: None Of That addresses why your OP is so stupid.
Whether any "of those things are really true" is (entirely) besides the point. YOU just drew the equivalency: you're perfectly capable of imagining a reasonable in-story acceptance of them, but NOT the concept of a black female scientist. Utterly ridiculous.
And: your insistence that it's pushing an agenda is simply Your Belief. The facts don't care about your belief, and you have absolutely No Knowledge of who wrote this, why, or any nefarious "ultimate goal."
That is all.
Listen you moron. I see that you are still incapable of getting a very simple point despite the fact my previous post has explained it pretty well. Having the moon move from it's orbit and approach Earth is NECESSAIRY for the movie to work, having a Black female scientist ISN'T. They could have easily had an Asian male as the lead character and the movie would have worked equally and it would have been more realistic.
No, it's not just my belief. Hollywood is openly ideologically leftist and woke. The core foundation of wokeism is intersectionality and the group highest on the intersectional scale are Black women. You see them being cast for the sake of it in almost every movie in recent few years. It's pure Black female privilege and it's disgusting.
I could keep engaging, or I could just accept:
"It's useless to argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, & beat you with experience."
I see no arguments, only ad hominem fallacies.
share "I could keep engaging, or I could just accept:"
do both: engage for a bit till he gets work up in little stew of his own mysogeny that hios ego wont let go , and then disengage once it gets this tedious. ie now
I particularly enjoyed your "let's review the bidding." post .
It really cuts to the chase of why this moron loses his shit when a black or a woman is on screen not in the kitchen or the cotton field.
It’s good to see you again, my friend. I understand your exasperation in trying to converse with a lumpken who took his username from an episode of Billions. I’m afraid this site is pushing the quality people away.

Racist.
What? Do you deny the need for diversity hires??
Of course there will be black female scientists in space!!! Have you ever heard of affirmative action???

How so? Genuinely curious.
shareMost scientists (and engineers and lawyers and leaders) in the world are black females. Especially the really brilliant ones.
shareAnother "if it ain't white, it ain't right" idiot.
shareI don't think he said that. At all ...
shareHe definitely meant it.
shareNope, he said nothing against Asian, Indian, Jew, Arab, etc etc.
are are you saying that anything that is not 100% black is white???
Defending an obvious racist makes you one by association.
shareNot understanding the written word makes you an idiot.
I think I would rather be a racist than an idiot ...
Sorry, you can't be racist without being an idiot.
shareWell, you can be an idiot without being a racist, OBVIOUSLY.
And sorry but racism has deep evolutionary roots. I will not explain to you the role of tribalism in the evolution of humanity, it would be useless.
And no, observing the reality (the lack of representation of black females in the history of advanced science) doesn't make one racist.
When there are literally more fictional black female scientists in the last 3 years of Hollywood movies than on the entire planet earth during the entire history of mankind in the real world, then even you must be able to smell the bullshit.
shareNope. Not it at all. I don't mind Asian and Jewish scientists. That would be at least realistic.
