I cannot look at June in the same way. I understand why her character didn't help; but two wrongs don't make a right. She was an innocent in this world that her husband created and June scarified her. She is taking on a bit of an evil role and it doesn't add sympathy to her character. Was anyone else disturbed by this?
shareI wasn't disturbed. June understood the threat Mrs. Lawrence posed to her plans and decided to take advantage of a not-so-good thing. In war, the good sometimes has to imitate the bad.
shareThat's kind of the point, though. This season has really pushed the loss of June's humanity and what it means to become the leader of a revolution such as this. She's really holding on by a thread and you're not necessarily supposed to like who she is becoming, but understand that it's necessary to get the job done. I think the show is doing a pretty great job of balancing that portrayal.

The woman was a huge liability, her inability to keep her mouth shut made her sound not only unbalanced, but incredibly stupid as well. June saw an opportunity she couldn't afford to pass up.
This isn't regular "judging from the comfort of your couch" life, this is do what you need to do to survive.
