They are either really happy with how Bull is turning out, or

they have absolutely nothing in the development phase they could plug in to replace it ....
I'm guessing they are pretty happy with it though. seems to be holding and then passing on the Ratings from NCIS to NCIS:NOLA.

Great news!

Excellent! Not that it's a big surprise but nice to hear.

I'm glad too. Although there may be some issues, I think that the show is interesting enough to be given some time to develop. Love seeing Michael Weatherly given a chance to shine in a new way. Hope that the writers can figure out a way to keep it fresh.

I figured the full-season announcement was coming due to the ratings but I'm glad the news came so early.

If they had run the "Callisto" episode before they had received notice for a Full Season, I don't think the network would have ordered a full season.

To each her own. I loved it. Plan to watch again as soon as it hits my "On-Demand".

I am not a Weatherly Hater, but I am sorry. This TV series is so full of unrealistic holes. He is far more deserving of something better, because of the success he helped bring to NCIS. He should have waited for the right one to come along instead of taking the first offer that came his way (if that is how it happened).

I don't think he did take the "first offer" that came his way. He has said in one or more interviews that when he gave notice to NCIS he had little more than spending time with his family planned, but that he was given the script for Bull to read and he fell in love with it.

What exactly is the "something better" that you think he is deserving of?

Because he seems to be in a great place for himself personally at the moment. He's doing a job he loves, got a lead role in a series that is already very popular, working with some other very talented people and seems happier and more energised than he has been over the past couple of years.

Most TV, especially the so-called reality shows are full of unrealistic holes. That's fiction for you. TV isn't real life, it's a portrayal of real life that some find more entertaining that others.

I think it is only popular right now because of it's juicy time slot (right after the No.1 drama, NCIS) and his name recognition, because he was a favorite star of NCIS.

That episode was absolutely horrible. The 800 pound gorilla of how all this is being financed aside. Or setting up their golf alpha yankee in a barn because there aren't any particulates or temperature fluctuations that could wreak havoc on their sensitive instant information computers and all. I will stop there.

reply

I don't see why the financial part is such a big deal. I am assuming that we don't see every case that Bull trials. I am sure he has plenty of wealthy clients just like in the pilot that we don't see.

reply

Yeah, go figure. This was the episode written by NCIS alum Jesse Stern and directed by NCIS alum Dennis Smith and it showed. Not a great episode, and the first one I've seen any hint of "Tony DiNozzo" in Jason Bull. And no, that's not a compliment. Honestly, I didn't hold out high hopes for the episode when I found out they were involved, and my biggest thought after watching it was "well, it could have been worse".
