The People of Callisto Might As Well Be Nazis

Wow, so they don't bother to judge a case based on the evidence but instead judge it based on the lawyer trying it? What kind of mindless morons are they?

The point is that they are more likely to believe what the local hometown lawyer lays out for them in court moreso than they would believe what the unknown out-of-town lawyer lays out for them in court.

People have biases; it's difficult to get around that. People are biased toward trusting someone/a lawyer they know over someone/a lawyer they don't know.

Even though I like this show the stereotypically portrayed southerner wears thin. Although I wasn't born in the south I've lived in it for many years. Sadly, some of the stereotypes are earned, but by the same token, there are many intelligent progressive, educated decent people. They just don't seem to be the southerners who make the news and evidently aren't as entertaining as the bumpkin portrayal.

Being from the South the Calista townsfolk was just short of being a comedy episode. I thought I was watching something out of the play "Best little whorehouse in Texas". The good Ole boy drawl gets old fast. Same as I am sure Italians get tired of being pasta eating mafia, Mexicans being portrayed as taco eating gangs, and blacks being all rappers.
