12 months and all we get are EIGHT episodes?

These lazy people need a foot up their ass. EVERYONE is working harder to get by now-a-days. What's their excuse?

It's more like British tv series. You get six or eight, then you wait a couple of years, then maybe you get another half dozen, or maybe only two. In the '50s and early '60s, American network tv shows ran thirty-nine per season.

To be fair, they're an hour each so that's 8 hours of viewing. Some other shows do only a half hour and so do 16, which seems like more, but isn't. Also, they skip the long intro that other shows have and talk as fast as possible so there's more show in every show.
