Why Isn’t This Better?
Great use of cinematography, creates a dark, moody look — as with the foreboding music. Certainly interesting premise, esp if based in fact.
Decent cast even. Franco, Nelson ... and the leading lady.
But the acting just isn’t there, and the direction is flat. Scenes go on long after we’ve gotten the point. With all the overacted lines, especially from Ms Singer, I just couldn’t believe the preposterous goings on and tuned out, waiting for it to end ... just as Isabel had also wished.
