Serviceable...
...once you get past the Bella Swan Twilight opening monologue. It gets immediately into the action and just keeps going from there. It would've been above just serviceable though had they not made the underwater segments so dark and murky. I mean I get that in real life it would probably look exactly like that. But this isn't real life, this is a movie where the audience needs to see what the fuck is going on. The Abyss did it beautifully. I think what it is with this movie, is even though it's realistic in as far as "real life", it's also a way to save money in the budget by not having to make everything look good. They don't have to spend money to make everything nice and sharp and clear looking or make the monsters better looking with more details.
