I teared up a bit when Sam told Ruth she isn't replaceable.
That was such a sweet moment, i'm halfway through the season right now but i just had to come on here and say that, i'm really hoping they end up together.

shareReally? I enjoyed that moment too, you could tell that it meant everything to Ruth. But I was thinking about them ending up together and I don't know, it seems like it'd be a cheap route to take, somehow.
She wants his validation...it seems more like a father/daughter relationship than anything else. In fact, I was relieved during the slow-dance scene, when she didn't kiss him back. It'd have felt...gross somehow, IMO.
Although I can definitely see how he'd be attracted to her...they're yin and yang, compliment each other well. I think you'd have a hard time keeping track of all the times she countered his negativity with something positive....definitely something he needed, you know?
Sorry, just finished binging both seasons about ten minutes ago, after having discovered the show only yesterday. Goddang this was a good show.
Yeah its a pretty good show, glad to hear it got renewed for a 3rd season.
shareFinally finished the series (difficult to find a steady source on my Kodi for this so took forever).
This is what I came here to find! Renewal! Super cool. I love these characters and am very happy that there will be more. A rare show that does everything right. Well written, acted, and directed.
To the topic: I, too, got many feels throughout the show. The gesture to Ruth in the S2 finale also got me.
