This was a hard documentary to watch. I kept wanting to turn it off because of the absolutely brutish and cruel behavior shown by nearly every Australian character. It was simply relentless. The owner of the hotel/bar wasn’t just a dirty old man, he was verbally abusive and heartless. (And this was his behavior when he knew he was on camera.)

This movie makes men from the outback (living in relative isolation) appear to be boarderline rapists, with IQs just a few points above retarded.

I really felt for the girls— because it’s one thing to be in terrible work-life situation, but it’s entirely different when you’re thousands of miles from home and only have one person to depend on. At least they had Canman. RIP.
