Way to ruin your main character! spoilers

***spoilers ahead***

Wow, look, I’m all for shocking moments in TV shows, but that came out of nowhere. I’m now rooting for EZ to get his knees shot out and set on fire. He shoots Gaby in the head without even a second thought, basically while she was telling him she still loved him, and BECAUSE she wanted to do the right thing.

Gaby was the ONLY character in this show who was a decent human being. I don’t know if I’ve ever gone from seeing a character I want to root for become a supervillain in the blink of an eye the way I have here with EZ.

I knew Gaby was going to die, and I understand it…it’s just the way shows like this go. You knew she was never going to get away and make a good life for herself, even though it teased that, but to have EZ be the one to do it, just like that. Man, what a way to destroy any redeemable quality in the main character of your show. It changes the entire dynamic of the show to me. No matter what happens from here on out, EZ is the villain, and I’m actively rooting against him in everything he does. If that’s what the writers wanted, which it has to be for him to do something that much out of character, then a job well done. You got a visceral reaction from me.

I’m looking forward to his death on this show. What a piece of shit they turned him into. And now the show turns from a man hoping for some kind or redemption, to a bunch of asshole bikers killing each other, and I hope they do kill each other sooner rather than later.

That would be like Jax in SOA randomly grabbing Tara and blowing her head off without a second thought.

Man, what a bummer. I understand what this show is about, AND what SOA was about, but I’m getting sick of every show having every character be an awful piece of shit.

Yep, I am of agreement. I can't even root for EZ anymore, there's like not one person likeable in this show. His brother is no better, just randomly shooting people without even thinking, but EZ... man... not only is what he did completely unlikely, it destroys what was left of his character.

Now I'm rooting for the Sons of Anarchy to roll in and wipe out the entire Mayans MC, save for Alvarez who flees to Oakland or Stockton or something, because this is just stupid.

I wonder who EZ is going to be shooting next? This is ridiculous. Makes me wonder if they're setting him up to be a huge villain against the Redwood Original for the next SoA series when Abel comes of age to join the club?

Gemma brutally murdered Jax’s wife and the mother of his children, and beyond that, started a war with her lies that cost the lives of so many people, including her friends and SOA members. Gemma deserved to die more than anyone on that show.

Gaby was as innocent and sweet as can be, and was making a good life for herself helping people. EZ didn’t even give her a minute to consider any other way out before blowing her head off on his way to supervillain territory. Can’t wait for him to die. Any tiny shred of rooting for that douche died with Gaby. EZ is easily my most hated character on The Mayans now, and that’s saying a lot with all of the evil characters on that show.

Jax became a monster too, but he was unbelievably tore up about what he did to his mother, and most of the things he did, while still awful, were way more justified than suddenly killing his former girlfriend without a second thought.
