They're not even trying to be funny anymore. RIP.

EDIT: I wanted to elaborate... I guess I didn't think my initial post through very well. I really didn't like this show initially because of the comedy, I liked it because there were no good Star Trek shows out there and this helped fill the void. I didn't keep watching the show because of the comedy, because it was never really that funny, but I did appreciate the sprinkling of humor that was involved. I guess now, I feel like the overall storylines have been mediocre. I'll keep up for a little while and hopefully there are some cool episodes to come.

Is this show still going ... in 2022?
I thought the first few episodes were clever and funny, but long-term it was just kind of cartoon stupid.
What network is it on?

I am too old for the original Star Trek and it is too old for me, though I loved it as a kid.
All the rest of it I don't like any of it really, and the newer the sequel the worse it is.

So you have never seen 'Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan' or 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home'?

Also, your attitude is invalid.. a show can't be 'too old', and you can't be 'too old' for something. Just say you don't like something and leave it at that, no need to bring in delusions to artificially validify your irrational hatred for innocent shows.

I've seen them all, including the reboots, and some of the new series, and Picard. All based on my childish love of ST:TOS. Aside from TOS, it's all be just a BS marketing ploy. ST:TOS had a certain something, but even though it was labelled as the first adult science fiction TV program, it was pretty childish and simple - but it did have a unique vision of a kind of utopian future, which I think is what was appealing to so many.

What is your point in telling me my attitude is invalid and trying to tell me what to say and how to say it? So that I can then say your attitude is invalid, and call you a name?

If someone else made claims like that to you you'd think they were full of it, though probably less than I would because they would be right, whereas you are wrong, and inept in communication.
