So far so great.
A real love song to Star Trek TNG, taken seriously but with some modern humor. I love it.

shareI agree. I'm not a Seth McFarlane fan, but this was very enjoyable.
shareI'm gonna give it a chance!
shareI enjoyed it overall. I'm not a huge Seth McFarlane fan, but I appreciate that the characters are pretty decent to each other (not a lot of insult humor or general nastiness.) It's not a deep show, but it's not trying to be. The challenge is keeping this up for a season. The frat boy helmsmen are funny for one episode, but if they're still acting like that after a season it's going to be seriously annoying.
shareI agree about the immature helmsman, but as a big fan of both Star Trek and Seth MacFarlane, I will definitely be watching this regularly.
shareYeah, I'll check it out again tonight.
Another thing I didn't get was the alien/robot crew member. He's supposed to be "racist", which I thought was an interesting twist, but so far every line he's had is the bland "The enemy is preparing to board, sir" variety. I can't for the life of me figure out why he's in the show. He doesn't seem to serve a function.
Isaac is a Keylon artificial life form. The captain called them "racist" because they consider themselves superior to humans, so the captain was wondering why Isaac accepted this assignment. Isaac said he took the job in order to learn more about humans, so he is basically the Data equivalent. Given that, I would anticipate him saving the ship through his scientific knowledge while at the same time not understanding human jokes, etc.
shareI agree. So far, I like it a lot.
shareThe worse thing about the show is Seth Mcfarlane, I wish they could of got Tim Allen, But that's because I just want more Galaxy Quest.

Not too bad I agree. It did what was required and the story was interesting. I will see how it develops from here.
