shareWithout giving much away....in series 2 one of the other characters notices her doing it. I thought it was a really great way of handling it.
The character is a priest (who Fleabag is trying to date) played by Andrew Scott (who you might have seen in Sherlock).
It was very distracting and they did it way more often than in the first season. It disrupts the flow. Less is more.
shareI love that she talks to the audience. That way we are more invested and involved in the story. It totally fits the tone of the show.
shareMost of your better Shakespeare plays have a character talking directly the audience, so it's not exactly new or unwelcome.
