I've been considering watching this for a while but just wondered about what other shows the fans watch and what shows you might compare it to..
I watch all sorts of different shows but in the sci fi / horror and fantasy genre I've watched Orphan Black, GOT, TWD and The Expanse (among others I might be forgetting)..How would it compare to those?.
And is it serialized or procedural?
Serial, yes. Procedural, no. I would classify as fantasy/sci-fi drama thriller with mild action. Characters are fleshed out and feel like real people. The writing is outstanding and consistent, continuity is excellent.
We watch the same shows. I can't really compare it to anything else without giving maybe giving the wrong impression.

I really no longer really care for procedurals and strong characterization is important to me.
Travelers is much more serialized than procedural.
We usually watch two episodes at a time, and that makes the season rather short.
It isn't a perfect show, but it works, and the writing is pretty good so far. Watch the first season and see what you think.
Yes, I would recommend it.
