Forty Minutes of nothing

and one minute of repeating the plot description list here. I know it's setup, but it really lacked. The whole first episode is just passing time for no reason just to not tell us the plot premise in any more detail than the plot synopsis. We're from the future to prevent something really bad but we aren't gonna even hint about that. The whole episode could have been told in a 60 second promo.

Forty minutes of nothing - and yet so many plotholes.

Describe some of those plotholes.

Well, holes are "empty", so something simultaneously can be "nothing" and "full" of holes!

Yes. That's exactly what I felt when the episode ended. It was like watching a 40-minute trailer for the show.

it made me want to watch Episode 2, so mission accomplished lol

Yeah, they definitely should've given a little peek at what exactly the travelers' goal is. I liked this first episode but I don't feel hooked - there's nothing to leave people really anticipating seeing episode 2. I appreciate the character development but they should've either cut some of it and dispersed it into the next episode, or done a 2-hour premiere.
