This isn't just another Sci-fi show.. Brad wrights first after stargate

So these posts complaining about time travel being over used as a premise this tv season (with two other shows i know of using it and both failing) This one after viewing the first episode actually has potential to be very good.. a couple pretty good actors in there with recognition if you watch allot of series. The premise could go either way but i have faith with Brad being the show runner it won't just fizzle out to be crap. It could just turn out mediocre but the first episode is giving me faith that it won't.

Exactly! They have every right to criticize an unoriginal premise, but they should at least give the actual show a chance before defaming it.
A lot of shows that have seemingly cliche settings actually end up being subversive and original. Who knows? With barely two episodes released, I think it deserves a chance.

Watching both the other time travel shows...I think Timeless is my favorite so far. Tuning into this one because of Brad Wright. Little bit of a slow start but will keep watching.

So how many other Stargate people so far? Andy Mikita directed last night's episode, and Garry Chalk (Colonel Chekov) was in the pilot.

Frequency, based off the movie of the same name. Not quite time travel, but deals with people from twenty years apart communicating and constantly changing the timeline.

I know, I think I'm watching at least half a dozen new ones this fall. Frequency is on Wednesdays on CW.

There is also Legends of Tomorrow on the CW, with a very similar premise to Timeless

Big Brad Wright fan here.
This show is no Stargate, but I do like it and the characters. I hope they get more invested in their adopted families/spouses...except for the Black abusive cop. He needs to be invested with a another swift kick in the balls.

Trevor's mother is Dr. Janet Frasier. Maybourne is going to appear too (I only watched 3 eps). An alien and a doctor will be around soon.
Also Martin Wood directed 2 eps.
Hope we will find more.
