My only problem with the show...

I like it and will continue to watch it, but do these "agents" from the future get any psychological training and preparedness for taking over another person's life and fitting in without drawing attention to themselves? Because it seems like they have no training in that. Except for their future knowledge and maybe martial arts training, they act exactly like the people they look like. Basically, teenagers or 20-somethings. Did they pick people of similar ages to inhabit these bodies? If so, why? Do they not train them how to psychologically stay on mission and not get involved in these people's lives? Like, the girl with the baby acts like a girl with a baby. Sure, take care of it but be trained not to bond and cry about it. Don't bond with your husbands and wives except to fit in. I understand the guy with the heroin addiction having problems and maybe the guy with the concussion acting like a total f...-up. But come on, I find it hard to believe they weren't trained not to fall in love with the people they find themselves close to now.

Of course, the answer is that the writers of the show are using it to add more drama, but I just think it's sloppy, annoying and unnecessary. Still a good show. What say you?

Just keep watching you IMBECILE and you'll find out soon enough. And you're probably the first SHMUCK to cry out that someone posted a spoiler. Good grief

Actually, they have Protocol 5 which encourages them to maintain the lives of their hosts. And how do you "train" someone not to fall in love? Intentionally rewire parts of their brain to make it impossible, that's about the only way. A cold and detached person with a weird sort of Terminator vibe about them would have a harder time blending in though, don't you think? You can't just have un-emotional maintenance sex with your wife or husband for purposes of preserving your cover identity and expect that they won't realize something is wrong. To the extent that it doesn't compromise the mission they probably want you to get a bit emotionally attached.

The more you act like an *beep* time-traveler from the future, the more likely the police, the FBI, or your own family & friends are going to put you down.

there goes your precious mission

When the show first started, and before we knew when the traveler program started, I speculated that previous notable people from history, including witches who got burned, may have been travelers who got themselves noticed. Who knows, maybe JFK and his push for the space program, and his subsequent celestial relocation may be a future Travelers story arc.
