this TV series is amazing - possibly better than breaking bad

I'll be sure to write a follow up review.

But to be sure - if this series was cancelled only after 2 seasons - it would imply either that the season 2 is subpar, they ran out of story, or my taste in films/tv is not very mainstream (low ratings).

Anyways - I'm on episode 3 of season 2 and I can already tell that it's nowhere near as good as season 1. The pace is much slower, the editing choices during conversations are odd at best (I don't know who is directing season 2, but it's certainly not the same person who directed season 1). The new characters are not even remotely as interesting as the ones in season 1 (yes, many of the same faces show up, but now that we know their backstories, the suspense element is gone, while the new characters are not that interesting altogether) If this pace continues... I'm not even sure if I'll finish season 2.

So - my advice is, watch season 1, it's really, really good. I'd also say that season 1 completes a story arc - it's kind of like Dexter, with each season having a new 'villain'. Anyways - with such a drop off in quality in season 2.... I can understand why they've opted not to renew the series.

All right - done with season 2. I'd say it does pick up the pace for around 4 episodes in the latter half of season 2.
So... I think it's still worth seeing season 2 after all.

And season 2 does end on a decent note without any cliffhangers or hints of S3 coming up.
