I don't know yet. It seems more tense, but it also seems
more out of control. I found it fake when House gets out
of his car and picks a fight with the guy in the parking
garage, and other stuff. This show is too weird.

I agree with OP, fantastic season. I’m always looking forward to the next episode. Gripping dark stuff lightened with a bit of levity. Eldon’s dilemma of whether to kill Winter or get him help; his exasperation with D for coaching his daughter; wondering if Lucy is going to suffer a grisly demise. And D’s having a little romance!
A lot of good acting on the show. I personally find the supporting actors better than Hugh Laurie. Paul Schneider (Winter) has been really good, and yes Brian Goodman (Hynes), and Clarke Peters (Carl). And of course Ethan Suplee (D) makes the show. I want D to call Eldon Big Dog again. lol

I wasn’t a House fan either, so I have no expectations from him based on his performance there. It’s more that I’ve never been a big Hugh Laurie fan. I think anyone could play the role (Chance), and some actors even better, and the show would be just as good, the material is that good. I find his co-stars often outshine him. Another example was The Night Manager. Tom Hollander stole the show in that series though Tom Hiddleston was good as well. He is a big name though, and initially draws in the viewers. But as I said, it’s usually other actors in the shows that end up being better.
Lindsey? Did you mean Lucy? (Or do I have the name wrong!) If so, I agree. The character wasn’t important enough that she will instantly survive, but significant enough that she might. So it’s great tension wondering whether Winter will eventually get her.

Yes right, Lindsay. We learned more about her this episode. Lindsay Hamilton. I’ve been wondering about her. She looks familiar and... why is she not in any of the credits? Not at the beginning or at the end, in any of the episodes. I thought she’d certainly be listed this episode. They list the homeless man and even a bystander, for crying out loud! But no Lindsay Hamilton. The cast list on imdb is a mile long but no Lindsay Hamilton. Very curious.

I thought, in the beginning, that she might be a figment of Winter’s imagination, his mother as she would be when older. Some viewers were disappointed D was real so I figured they might throw one in this time. It was clever to make Winter somewhat of a recluse so that it could work. We hadn’t seen her speak to anyone else at that point and Winter’s words to her, “You’re not her, be glad of that” could suggest that she is a version of what he would prefer his mother to be. But that changed when she started interacting with other characters.
We’ve seen Winter’s mother in the psychiatric facility although it could turn out she isn’t his biological mother. Or maybe Lindsay is a doting aunt, trying to make amends for her sister’s evil deed.
I think imdb have shot themselves in the foot. And yes, they’re often slow to put up details or even have wrong information posted. But it’s odd that there are no credits for her in the show. She looks familiar, so I was looking for the actress’s name. I’m wondering if it may be someone well known that we haven’t seen in a long time, hence withholding her name. If it’s a big name, it would allude to her being in a bigger role, which seems to be happening now. Like you say, she seemed inconsequential in the beginning. Or maybe she was cast late and didn’t make the cast list in time.
Don’t despair, that character at the end might still end up active. This is TV Land!

Seems Lindsay wasn’t that important after all. But I finally saw the actress listed. I hadn’t noticed more credits after the theme opening while the show is already running. I must have been so gripped by the show I didn’t see it. I was sure it was someone I’d seen before in her younger years. The actress is Alyson Reed. She’s a dancer and was Cassie on A Chorus Line. She had legs up to her neck!

And I guess one of our favourite characters is definitely on the inactive list.

I wouldn’t say that they were the only ones, I think a lot of the characters are well developed. And what I like is they seem to pretty well have the same amount of screen time. So you’re not stuck watching one character you may not like.
I also don’t see it as buddy killings per se, but how the effects that people have on each other can change the course of your actions and your life. It is a psychological drama. The bully (Frank) seeing Matty is unstable and egging him on, right into adulthood. Winter wants to go right but Frank keeps him from it. Winter’s feelings for Lucy seem to have steered him to defy Frank (who was not happy about that!) for the first time and do right by turning himself in. I didn’t expect that turn of events.
