Can't decide if I like this or not

I'm intrigued by this story and like to see where it goes, but unsure if I really like it.

What bugs me somewhat is that I have a hard time believing that someone who has made a career out of studying and treating neurology and behavior would be this so gullible and susceptible as he is. It kind of reminds me of House of Games where a best selling author of a book about compulsive behavior is so easily deceived.

I have the same exact opinion. I am enjoying yet it strikes me as very strange that he can be so blind. I am starting to wonder if he is the mentally ill one and its all in his mind...

I agree. I'm going to stick with it through to the end, but i find his behavior so frustrating. Much of it doesn't make sense, so i'm wondering if this story is his own delusion.

Thank you!!! I had to post this because i was beginning to think I was nuts for seeing this!

If you've never seen House of Games I strongly suggest you watch this superb film.

I think the characters are very similar. Maybe this is not an accident/sloppy writing and completely intentional re. the ultimate irony that someone so skilled in human behavior can so easily fall prey to it. OR is he just inexplicably drawn to this like an addict? The other therapist angrily balled him out for dragging HER into this crap so I'm assuming this is/has been a problem for a long time, that he could allow himself to be seduced by such a blatantly obviously dangerous person/situation. Woman with multiple personalities married to a dirty cop. Gee what could go wrong here???

Haha, same. It seems each week my opinion changes. There will be an ep and I think this show is pretty interesting and then the next week there's a bad ep and I'm wondering how I've made it this far.

I'm here to stay, but are there multiple seasons planned for this show? Would another season have another story for him? Would he show some actual personality to his character rather than being a pawn for the plot?

Just curious. Don't want any content spoiled based on the novel, but wondered if we're looking at a one-and-done or something that could stay and work with other patients in other seasons somehow, etc.

If there are multiple seasons I can't fathom that this storyline could go the distance. He's already gotten so deeply immersed in all of this craziness. How much farther could it go before he buys a vowel or gets killed?
