shareHugh Laurie and Ethan Suplee are both FANTASTIC. They play basically the same character at different ages, with different physiques, and with different temperaments. I'd say more, but that would/will ruin the series for you. This is a "man's man" series that doesn't emphasize that fact. If you like Clint Eastwood stuff, you'll almost certainly like "Chance." Unlike other posts on this board, the series bears no resemblance to "Vertigo."

I enjoy all the acting, though this is far from my favorite Hugh Laurie role. (Loved the Night Manager) and I think Suplee is a terrific actor. I also really like Gretchen Moll. I just felt like it might not go anywhere to exciting at the end of episode three and was deciding whether to continue. I wanted to see a couple, "Hey man, it gets better, keep watching." responses. Which I did. Think I need to finish. Thank you.
I just finished the series and think Hugh was great here, i really enjoyed seeing a mor ehuman doctor this time in the sense that he allowed himself to be a father and more compassionate towards his patients.
Yes at times i did miss the House confidence and his leadership skills but i liked seeing Hugh showing his more caring side in this series.
The most ideal character for Hugh would be a mixture between House and Chance. Chance's relationships with patients and House's fantastic mind and being able to read people's mind.
