Every Newborn Is Unique But One Thing Is Always the Same...
All parents with newborns are sleep-deprived--especially mothers. For the first few months (sometimes longer), sleep deprivation is part of a parent's life. And sleep deprivation is a form of torture. It's used to break down prisoners and it has the same effect on new parents. Yes, most parents know it's part of having a baby, but that doesn't make it any easier. These wonderful little people come into your life and you're both completely in love with them and completely exhausted by them.
This is the best movie I've ever seen about having a newborn and Charlize Theron perfectly conveys the weariness and emotional fragility of a new mother. For my money, she's the best actress of her generation. She can do drama (Monster, North Country, The Yards), comedy (Young Adult, Long Shot), action (Aeon Flux, Prometheus), and just about anything else.
Food In Films: Shasta really harshes poor Jonah's vibe for chicken nuggets. Not cool, Shasta. And Marlo is right, roasted chicken is surprisingly easy to make (lemon, salt & pepper) and definitely delicious.
