I only checked it out to see Olyphant but it sucks. Drew Barrymore lost her figure too. I know that pilot episodes are often weak and some shows do improve, but this just felt way off. I don't see an episode 2 in my future.

Who cares if Drew "lost her figure" (according to you)? I'm so sick of people constantly judging women on how they look. She is playing a typical suburban housewife. A lot of women look like her. She is in her 40s with two young kids (2 and 4 years old). She recently divorced and mentioned having a difficult time because she really wanted to raise her kids in a traditional family, unlike the craziness she grew up in coming from a Hollywood family. Obviously she had more pressing issues to deal with than keeping her figure just to appease shallow people. I think Drew looks fine. She's not playing some sex symbol on this show. She looks like a normal, average woman and there's not one thing wrong with that.

For those put off by the first episode based on acting, Barrymore in particular felt really off in her acting. It's only so noticeable in the first episode and almost caused me to tune out. Everything about the show gets better as it goes along. While it's not amazing it has some really great laughs.
