Anyone reminded of bioshock
After seeing this film I think Del Toro would be a prime candidate for a Bioshock film. Loved this movie by the way and am a big Bioshock fan.
shareA little bit but nothing related to the plot. It's more in the shape of the font in the title, the neon 1950's billboards and artwork and that greenish tint throughout the film. Although I think most of that can be chocked up to a stylized homage to Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Also, Del Toro went on record saying he would love to make a Bioshock adaptation so maybe this was part of a CV for a studio to pick it up.
shareYeah I meant in terms of setting and atmosphere. In terms of plot world's apart. Bioshock is one of the few games I think could make a good movie if adapted well. I think you give Del Toro creative freedom and don't wuss out by having it be pg-13 you would have a good movie on your hands. Perhaps even break the video game movie curse.
