Ya know... when i have people over at my home... (spoilers)
... I make sure to let them know that I have 2 cats. Specifically, 2 indoor cats who should remain indoors. I politely ask that they don't leave doors or windows open for the cats to escape. If the cats are in a mood or are scared, I ask people not to pet them (for their own good). Furthermore, if we are visited by a family or a couple with kids or if there is a guest with cat allergies, I take our cats and place them in our bedroom behind closed doors.
In other words, I protect my cats and am also respectful and mindful of my guests.
That all being said... I am sure that if I were to ever illegally shelter a feral pesca-sapien in my home and let it live in my bathtub, I would take no special precautions whatsoever to keep it away from beloved pets. After all, what could possibly go wrong?
