Congratulations to this movie!!
Cheers!!!
shareI second that. While I wouldn’t call it my film of the year, The Shape of Water is truly deserving.
Although I’m glad the film won, at the same time I kinda hate that it did seeing as how I knew if it won best picture, it would cause controversy. Some don’t find it to be as great as the other nominees? Check. Others thought it wasn’t great to begin with? Check. Many more (usually those claiming they detest Hollywood) argue it only won because of Hollywood politics? Check. All this was expected.
That being said, those assholes that are throwing fits over the film because they hate how cruel the “good real Americans” in the film were portrayed and they can’t stand this thing called human decency and empathy, can shove it. The only snowflakes and real anti-Americans around here are those spending their time absurdly ranting nonstop about the film. At any rate, this film has all the cinematic elements that speak to Hollywood’s love for the Golden Age (a safe best pic win), but overall it’s a unique win. Kudos to Del Toro and everyone involved in the making of this film.
^ Idiots.
shareYes!!! That’s exactly what the whimpering bozos that keep whining about this film over its accurate depiction of humans beings, especially facisct and their sympathizers, are!
The villains in this reminds them of themselves and/or the people they look up to. So superior... sure. Gah, damn you evil lib Hollywood!
