He took the money Cat stole but buried her briefcase with her. Do you think he will just let everyone think Cat ran away, leaving Lena or do you think he will come clean to at least Smurf that he killed her?

I believe that they( smurf and Pope) will tried to make it seem like that.

And I think that what will happen is that her body will be discovered. He did not finish burying her because of the kid.
