Anyone remember "NYPD Blue" show?

In a earlier post here some viewers were upset of seeing male nudity...ass's to be precise, I just wanted to remind of a 1993 show that always had shown male ass's.

It was known for having each of their male 'police' actors had to show their ass at least once. I remember when that happened and everyone was against Dennis Franz to show his, including himself...but somehow they managed to get hims to show it taking a shower. Here's your chance to see Miami CSI guy, David Caruso, bareassed..if your a binger. LOL

Sons of Anarchy did the same with their male actors. I don't see why people get so butt hurt over it.

I've seen my share in locker rooms and army showers...so its no big deal...the difference there though I saw them in 3D..LOL

Butt hurt...nice.

I happened to catch the episode in which they showed Jimmy Smits' derrière. I remember the year was 2000 because I normally didn't watch the show and I saw that episode while I was visiting a relative. I thought that the episode was a breakthrough and that we would be seeing more nudity on broadcast network shows but, of course, that didn't happen.

However, during that same era, they had begun to show male nudity on premium cable shows like "Oz" and "Queer as Folk." And by 2004, they were showing male butts on basic cable on "Nip/Tuck" - and possibly other shows that I wasn't watching.

I have actually found it very surprising that there are complaints about seeing some male nudity in 2016. I wonder if perhaps the people complaining are teenagers or young males who haven't seen much or any male nudity on TV before? I'm not trying to insult anyone by saying that. I'm just genuinely perplexed.

Edit: I just realized that Nip/Tuck actually started airing in 2003, and yes, they showed male butts during the first season.

Heck, Game of Thrones shows frontal and booty nudity of both men and women!!!!

Yes, very true. And Spartacus had even more nudity than Game of Thrones. There's tons of nudity on TV now, and I really don't understand the complaints about a few butt shots.

I watched NYPD:Blue religiously when it was on tv. It's one of my fave cop shows after:

The Shield
Homicide:LOTS
Southland
Adam-12
