So did Smurf kill her mother's boyfriend because he killed her mom in a robbery or something? I have to admit Smurf's storyline has confused me a bit.

No, he was with her Mom when she got killed by the store owner... Smurf personally blames him for her dying..

Ok thanks! Why did the store owner kill her mom? Like I said her backstory confused me. Was her mom trying to rob the place?

They were robbing the store I assumed, and then he took off and left Smurf there.

I don't know why they threw that in at the end. She had an opportunity to kill him and she didn't. It wasn't even unfinished business. It was like she had a psychotic break after the big heist. The rest of the episode was pretty good.

I thought she might have let it go, but some of the things Pope said to her struck a nerve and made her go through with killing the guy.

I figured smurf killed Isaiah because of what she was remembering from a. Past incident and he called her Rachel.

Maybe this was her plan all along. Tracked him down, confirmed it's him, then popped him later when nothing ties her to him? This family is out of control. lol

I think Pope really challenged her to be a badass and not just use others for her dirty work. He pushed her buttons.

Yup, and she does not GAF if she gets caught...she just walks right up there in an upscale neighborhood, with no hat on, or disguise or anything. Just does not care.

I thought this was obvious: Smurf's mom ran robberies with the car guy (pretty sure there is some implied sexual misconduct there as well). After finding him and meeting him with the intent to get even for letting her mother die/abandoning her and/or said misconduct she decides to let it go and kind of makes her own peace with it. Then Pope challenges her by saying that she makes him do the Dark/dirty work that she can't do, she goes out and proves to herself that she can get dark and dirty, because as Pope said, she is twisted. Loved it, btw.
