Did Smurf kill her mother's boyfriend who was selling the car?
Unless I missed something this was left open ended. It did not seem as if she had any affection for this guy.

shareI don't think so. I got the impression that she realized that he had truly cared about her and changed her mind about killing him.
shareNo; she brought a gun intending to kill him, perhaps because she had bad memories of her childhood, but learned that at least he cared about her and was kind to her, so she let him live.
shareNo, I don't believe she did. She had second thoughts when he mentioned his fondness for her ----which I thought was super cheesy and hokey. Barkin doesn't muster up the toughness required for her character IMO
shareDisagree, I think EB is great in the role. Smurf is not suppose to be tough all the time lol
shareBut she ain't no Tony Soprano :) Gandalfini nailed that complicated role, embodied the character in all its complexities; with Barkin, I feel like I'm watching an older woman trying to act the part (not the actress, but the character). Barkin can't hold a candle to Jean Smart's take on a similar role in FARGO. IMO
shareGreat comparison. Jean Smart was very believable as the mother-so good you don't even notice she is acting. But that show is written better and has better character development.
shareWell I reckon you did not watch the season finale since this whole part of the story is answered very clearly.
