Smurf killed the dude that killed her mother during a robbery (by accident I'm guessing) when she was just a little girl...
And the cops were putting Josh's teacher in the police car...
I thought he didnt kill her, she went to buy a car from him and he explained the story. Unless i just believed him and he flat out lied to Smurf. That confused me though...
shareHe didn't tell Smurf the story of her mom's death, he just told her (not knowing who she was) how he felt about her mother and her and Smurf initially backed off because she was surprised to hear about how he cared about her. It's unclear how Smurf's mom died. All we know is it was a botched robbery, and that her boyfriend left her there and ran away. In the finale, Smurf just mustered her resolve and decided to go through with killing him after all.
shareI think Smurf's decision to kill him was because of something Pope said. Remember Pope's conversation with Smurf when he said she uses him to do the dark things she can't do herself? She followed the guy home and shot him in his driveway shortly after the conversation.
shareGlad to know I wasn't the only one confused. At least I have a better idea of what it was all about but I wish they'd made it a little less ambiguous.

I didn't think it was ambiguous at all. It's interesting what some people find confusing and others don't. I had a very difficult time following the first season of Game of Thrones, so much so I haven't bothered watching it since. While most people seem to have no problem following what's going on.
And many people found Lost confusing, but I never did at all.
