The female cop is a horrible actress
Maybe the worst on the show. Her scenes are extremely grating.

Shes not mean5 to be likeable, very blunt to the point bad-cop. I think she does a great job, making me hate her.
shareNever said the character is supposed to be likable. She's just mailing in the "bad cop" lines without adding any substance to her character.
I will say the one scene where she threatens to tell J's family he's been talking to the cops wasn't her fault. That was just a total fail on the writers' part.

Exactly, in a show where the criminals are our 'heroes' naturally the cops will not be who we are meant to root for, especially in this situation bullying our young J.

She's using the completely wrong approach if she wants to use J. I bet he double crosses her somehow.
Blackmailing an adult into seducing a minor is no good. They'd all have a case against her if they turned her in.
Yeah, I definitely hate her, and not even because of her meanness, but just because she really is a bad actress laying a cheesily fake "difficult cop" persona.

She is terrible. Her character is not believable. I don't like any of these characters. Why am I still watching?
shareI don't like the female cop either but I think Nicky's dad is the worst actor. Ugh.
