shareThis. I don't think that he has no soul, I think that he cares about people(J, julia, lena, his brothers), but Smurf have him wrapped under her fingers and that overshadows everything.

He was sorry he had to do it, but she shouldn't have lied to him. The "I love you" is what pushed him over the edge. No one likes being played for a fool especially by someone you've given your heart to. She played the wrong hand.
shareI agree with kateybear. I think Pope was pushed over the line by Katherine's "I love you" line and he snapped. He obviously had loved her since childhood, but he knew she didn't love him and he had gone through horrible unspeakable things in prison, on top of the fact that he was mentally challenged. Pope is one of the most interesting and, yes, scary characters in this series. Can't wait until next season!
