As far as Lifetime movies go, this was actually pretty good. Nothing exactly groundbreaking, but it made for an entertaining watch. There were only two big problems I had:
1. The plot was OVERDOSING on cliches. When I first read the plot, I wasn't expecting something incredibly original, but here, it was almost like the writers picked popular thriller/mystery movie cliches out of a hat and wrote a story around them.
2. The PSA at the end felt tacked on, almost like an excuse to market the movie as "based on a true story"
"Since the end of the Cold War, the number of Russian spies operating on United States soil has actually increased. In the early 21st century, a CIA agent estimated that there were a few thousand agents currently active in the United States.
They are your neighbors. Your co-workers. Your friends.
Your husbands."

"See Something -- Say Something". It's a double-edged sword.

High praise indeed.
Everything was sloppy.
A prime example:
The daughter breaks into the dead woman's home through an apparently unlocked window. There is crime-scene tape inside the house. The daughter finds a suit-case in a closet. Inside is a phone that has no lock screen? What? (must be made by the same company that made the step-dad's phone, it did not have a lock screen either)
Worth watching if you are a Brian Krause fan, (since Sleepwalkers) and have nothing better to watch. reply share

Actually I didn't have a lock on my cell phones until recently, as it was too much fuss to mess with when trying to answer an incoming call (especially if one doesn't have both hands free, etc.) But for an international spy/head of a digital security company, you're right—that's just completely unrealistic.
What struck me even more odd was that there was a suspicious-looking suitcase (presumably unopened) left behind (and uninvestigated!) by the law enforcement. Prima-facie evidence--and they ignore it? Total fail.
